北米シリコンバレーでのR＆Dを経て、現在はマーケット企画部長としてセンサネットを中心に営業マーケティングを担当。
2008年6月ZigBee SIGジャパン理事長に就任。 |

| The New Frontier for Energy
Efficiency: ZigBee |
This talk will provide an overview of the ZigBee Alliance and its mission. It
will address the basic functionality delivered by the standard, where it fits
in the wireless arena, plus next steps for the 230 member strong ecosystem of
companies creating applications for use in home, commercial and industrial markets.
He will discuss why ZigBee is uniquely positioned to enable Automatic Metering
Infrastructure and the Smart Grid offering energy utilities and their customers
unprecedented ability to control and manage their energy consumption for a greener
world. Dr. Heile will present insight on major corporations' plans to offer new
ZigBee products and services as well as information on how companies are implementing
ZigBee technology to save money, improve reliability, and offer new services.
Because ZigBee technology is expected to be embedded in a wide range of products
and applications around the world, Dr. Heile is uniquely positioned to offer observations
on the consequences OEMs and their customers could face by selecting the wrong
technology or by simply ignoring the need to plan for and adopt this next great
wave of innovation.

Bob Heile 氏 |
Bob is a 20 plus year veteran in the field of data communications and wireless
data. He is Chairman of the ZigBee Alliance, chair of the IEEE 802.15 Working
Group on WPANs, and is a founding member of 802.11. Before assuming the leadership
of the ZigBee Alliance, Bob was doing Wireless Communications Consulting for several
high profile companies. Before that Bob was with GTE/BBN responsible for Wireless
Opportunity Business Development, with the mission of commercializing wireless
ad hoc networking and wireless PAN technologies. In 1990 he was a co-founder of
Windata, Inc., an early developer of WLANs. From 1980-1990, Bob was with Motorola
Codex, as VP/GM of the company's modem business. Bob holds a BA from Oberlin College,
and an MA and Ph.D. from The Johns Hopkins University. |

Drew Gislason has more than 20 years of experience in writing embedded systems software. He has designed and written commercial operating systems, BIOS firmware, a GUI and ZigBee and other wireless sensor network protocol stacks. Drew is president of San Juan Software, a company focused on providing ZigBee and 802.15.4 training, software applications and custom engineering. He has authored articles for magazines and spoken at the Embedded Systems Conference, Sensors Expo, Freescale Technology Forum and other conferences. Drew serves on several Task Groups within the ZigBee Alliance. His book titled"ZigBee Wireless Networking"will be published in August 2008, and is available from www.Amazon.com.

Paul has been with Ember for over five years and is delighted at the greatly increased
spread of interest and information about ZigBee compared to the early days. He
has a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT and worked
in embedded engineering in Boston and Silicon Valley before returning to Boston
with Ember. He now lives in Hong Kong and manages Ember's sales and support operations
in Asia. |
